​Introducing..... Elixir! Elixir was rescued from a high volume shelter in October of 2022. He was adopted quickly because he is a total ham but returned several months later. The problem? He can be a little over the top- in everything. He is one of the most affectionate cats you will ever meet, however, his zest for life carries over in all things. He can get a little too amped up when playing and can play way too rough with other kitties. He is also easily over stimulated and can bite at times. Because he is so amazingly sweet though, we took him to the vet to see if meds would help - guess what! They did! But now that he is settled, he doesn't need them anymore. He is now doing very well. He can still get a bit too over the top with affection or play and nip. He really must go to an experienced cat person. As an only pet he would likely flourish. He just needs a very specific type of home and he will make someone so happy! He is absolutely gorgeous and healthy. He is also well behaved and doesn't make a mess at all. It is pretty easy to clip his nails and he uses his scratching post like a champ. Let us know if he might fit into your life!

​The cat adoption fee is $110 (or $175 for two cats). Second Chance Pets is a foster-based organization so all animals live in foster homes throughout the area. Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Petco Clear Lake store located at 2410 Bay Area Boulevard (at Space Center). All cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV and feline leukemia, fully vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed and microchipped.
