Feral Cat Day Fall 2018 (Oct.6th)

Second Chance Pets will be sponsoring a feral cat spay/neuter day on Saturday October 6, 2018 at Animal Alliance (1014 Bayou Road, La Marque 77568). This event is limited to cats who are either feral (wild) or free roaming/community (homeless and being fed by individuals but not owned by anyone).  Surgery space at this event is limited to a total of just 50 cats, maximum of 5 cats per person and advance reservations are required.

Volunteers are also needed to make this TNR event a success! Both morning and afternoon shifts will be available at Animal Alliance that day. We are especially looking for volunteers with vet tech or other medical experience to help monitor the cats at the clinic after surgery.

To request a surgery appointment, obtain more information or to volunteer your time on Feral Cat Day please contact Susan at

SCP is ALWAYS looking for new fosters but has an urgent need right now as our existing foster network is full!

Because we do not have a shelter, we cannot accept a new cat or dog into the program unless there is a foster available who will provide shelter, food, care and love until the animal is adopted (SCP pays the pet’s vet bills).

We need additional compassionate people who have room in their homes and hearts to care for a rescued cat or dog until we are able to find it a forever home. Fostering is easy and rewarding - providing temporary care for a pet awaiting adoption is a great family volunteer project with the satisfaction of knowing you are saving a life!
